Japanese accommodation, retro Japanese hot spring hotel

📍Location: About 5 minutes walk from the station, very convenient.

🤵🏻Service: Free shuttle service is provided from Zao Onsen Bus Terminal to the hotel, but the frequency is sparse and reservations must be made three days in advance.

🏠Room: Japanese-style room (one night and two meals) HKD1931 + hot spring tax ¥ 300
Advantages: 🤩The whole floor is covered with tatami floor, so you don't need to wear slippers, you can wear new socks provided by the hotel or walk barefoot. The whole hotel has a large common space with free tea, 😍 massage chairs and board games, and you can enjoy the sunset at dusk🥰. The room is very large, with a staircase at the door, equipped with a TV, mini refrigerator, dressing table and separate bathroom. At night, staff will make Japanese-style beds, which are full of retro Japanese elements.

Disadvantages: There is no elevator. The staff will help you take the luggage upstairs, but they don't speak English, and they don't take the initiative to give free tickets to the attached hot springs. They are average to foreign tourists. Another thing is that the hotel is too big and the corridors are all exactly the same, so it's easy to get lost in it 😂.

Hot spring: A smaller indoor hot spring ♨️. Sometimes the men's and women's baths are swapped, and the environment is not much different. There is also an open-air bath that costs a fee, but we didn't go because we had soaked enough 😅.

♨️The hotel also has two sister hotels, namely Zao Kokusai Hotel and Zao Four Seasons Hotel, but the usage time is limited to before 3 pm, so we missed it when we checked in☹️, what a pity! There are also three public indoor hot spring houses that can be used for free. We visited all of them in one night. They all have the same layout, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t go!
