The way to get to the top of Yamagata Zao is to take the cable car
You can enjoy the natural scenery from Zao Hot Springs at the foot of the mountain to the frost trees.
It takes about 7 minutes from Zao Mountain Foot Station to Mountain Foot Station, and 10 minutes to take the Summit Line to Jizo Mountain Foot Station. So you have to take two cable cars (Japanese cable cars are very slow and safe👍)

It’s also very fun to play in the snow, it’s soft and fluffy♥︎
