Yamaguchi’s Gem: Rurikiji Temple

#summervacay

We visited Rurikiji Temple, famous for its stunning five-storied pagoda, a National Treasure located in Yamaguchi. Although it's not a super popular spot, our stay at Yuda Onsen gave us the perfect opportunity to stop by. We took the JR Yamaguchi Line to Yamaguchi Station and then hopped on the Bocho bus to Yamaguchi Kencho-mae. Admission was free, and we were thrilled to find the temple relatively uncrowded, allowing us to take plenty of great photos. We purified ourselves before entering the temple, following the local customs. The nearby Kozen Park was absolute bliss – serene and beautiful. Strolling through the park was incredibly refreshing and calming. If you're in the Yamaguchi prefecture, we highly recommend a visit to Rurikiji Temple and Kozen Park – a hidden gem worth exploring!
