Nearby Kaiseki Izakaya in Yamaguchi

During my trip to Yamaguchi, I stayed at a hotel near Shin-Yamaguchi Station and decided to look for a place nearby for dinner. 🍻

This kaiseki izakaya is just a few minutes' walk from Shin-Yamaguchi Station.

Inside the restaurant, there's a live fish tank where you can enjoy fresh seafood. 🐟

The live squid was incredibly fresh, with its head and tentacles still moving energetically. Its transparency was stunningly beautiful. 🦑

The texture was delightfully crunchy, and the more you chewed, the sweeter it became. ♡

The tempura made from the squid afterward was perfectly fried, with a crispy coating and tender meat. 🤤

What impressed me the most was the live mackerel! It was incredibly fresh, with outstanding firmness and texture. ❣️

It was so delicious that I thought it might rival or even surpass the Seki mackerel I had in Oita before. ♡

The pufferfish sashimi and sushi were also exceptionally delicious, no matter what I tried. 🥰

They also had a wide selection of sake. 🍶

The location is convenient, being close to the station. ◎
