The Serene Beauty of Tongdosa's Red Plum Blossoms

I encountered plum blossoms at a temple for the first time during my visit to Tongdosa, and the single red plum tree blooming in the courtyard was so tranquil and beautiful. I used to think plum blossoms were most stunning when blooming in clusters, but the harmony between the temple and the blossoms was truly breathtaking.

I had heard that crowds flock to Tongdosa every year to see these gorgeous red plum blossoms, so I arrived early in the morning. Even then, many people were already there to capture the blossoms and the sunrise. If you want to enjoy Tongdosa's red plum blossoms in a quieter setting, I recommend visiting on a weekday at dawn. The sunrise paired with the red plum blossoms is absolutely stunning, so why not use the early morning run as an excuse to enjoy both? 😂

While the main red plum tree in Tongdosa's courtyard is incredibly beautiful, the plum trees planted along the path leading to it are also lovely. How about a trip to Yangsan this week to see the red plum blossoms at their peak? 🌸❤️
