My favorite business hotel: Intercity Hotel Yantai Binhai Plaza

In order to share a room and chat with our good friend who took a leave of absence to accompany us, we searched for a long time and finally chose Huazhu's latest brand, Intercity Hotel. I originally went there for the hotel's family room, but unexpectedly, this brand brought me such a big surprise.

The InterCityHotel brand originated in Germany. It was formerly the German Railway Hotel and was later acquired by Deutsche Hospitality Group. In November 2019, due to Huazhu's global hotel layout, it was acquired by Huazhu Group's wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore. Aims to create a new high-end business hotel and provide new options for business travel.

The family room we booked this time is decorated in a simple and elegant style. The toilet and shower room are completely separated into wet and dry areas. The combination of the washbasin and the guide table is simple in design and practical. The room has a large bed and a small bed, which are decorated in a child-friendly way. There is also a children's building block toy table in the room. Without any children, the three of us grown men had a lot of fun.

There is free drinks in the room mini bar, which includes a bottle of hotel brand craft beer. I guess this beer culture originated in Germany and has been well preserved. The breakfast is small but exquisite, with a wide variety of choices, and even features alkaline bread that is not found in ordinary hotels. Compared with Atour and Seasons, I do prefer the style of Intercity. It is said that Intercity also has midnight snack time, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to enjoy it this time. There are always some regrets in a journey, so save the midnight snack for the next time you meet the Intercity Hotel.
