Yantai: A Coastal Stroll

Yantai is a beautiful coastal city where blue skies and white clouds are the norm. Living by the sea and taking strolls along the shore is a daily routine. Despite this, I still appreciate its beauty and tranquility. Life in Yantai is truly wonderful.
Yantai has a long coastline, making it impossible to walk the entire length. However, choosing a section for a leisurely walk is a great experience.
Even along the coast, the scenery varies. The Development Zone's seaside has been popular in recent years. In addition to the large "Lonely Whale" sculpture, a popular check-in spot, the newly built Time Tower is also a great place to visit. The sea near the Yantai Zhifu District offers different views, with graceful seagulls, the No. 1 Bathing Beach, and Yantai Mountain. Its central location makes it a top choice for locals to relax. The Fisherman's Wharf in Laishan District is another popular spot, home to the No. 2 Bathing Beach, European-style architecture, and the Yudaishan Hot Spring. It's a photographer's paradise, attracting both locals and tourists to its shores. Not far offshore, the Genghai No. 1 deep-sea platform offers dining, accommodation, and entertainment, making it well worth a visit. Further south, the jelly-like waters off Yangma Island in Muping District are also a highlight. Yangma Island is small, and a drive around the island takes about half an hour, but the coastline is stunning. The island is famous for being where Qin Shi Huang raised horses, and the surrounding waters feature statues of flying horses and the emperor himself, making for great photo opportunities. It was once a nationally renowned check-in spot.
Yantai is not a large city, but its long coastline adds to its charm. With its blend of mountains and waters, and distinct four seasons, I truly love it!
