Soseong-ri (所城里), located in Yeontae Jifu-gu, is an ancient village that makes you feel like you've entered a gap in time. Built during the Hongwu Emperor period of the Ming Dynasty for coastal defense, it has welcomed people for over 600 years while preserving its old appearance.

As soon as you enter the village, you see the bumpy stone roads, traditional tile roofs, and old-fashioned buildings with red lanterns hanging. This place is not just a tourist attraction, but a living history textbook. Traces of the past are permeated in every alley, and you can feel the breath of the old people in each brick. In particular, walking along ‘Sosungri Street’, you will feel like you have traveled back in time as you see houses, government buildings, and traditional shops that retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

There are tea houses selling traditional tea, handcraft shops, and snack shops where you can taste local specialties, so you can enjoy the fun of seeing, the joy of eating, and the excitement of experiencing everything. The residents of Sosungri are also very friendly, and it was impressive to see them greeting travelers passing by or giving directions. 😃
