[Yeosu] Jangdo Observatory & Walking Trail

On Jangdo Island, you must visit the observatory. It's not the highest point on the island, but rather near the shore, offering a panoramic view that feels as if it's touching the South Sea. It's also a famous sunrise spot in Yeosu! 🌅

Across the way, there's a yacht marina and a newly built apartment complex, giving it a Florida coastal town feel. The water was incredibly clear and clean, which was surprising.

There were also some iron sculptures near the observatory, adding a bit of interest. The perimeter path was well-maintained with a deck, allowing for a stroll without worrying about dust.

On the island's interior, there were single-story buildings that looked like lodging, but they were actually used as creative studios. Apparently, artists are still active there.

Jangdo Island isn't a must-visit destination, but it's a great place for a quiet, relaxing morning stroll. With more art installations and the park beautifully decorated, it might one day become a new tourist attraction in Yeosu, like Oedo Island. 🌿
