A thousand-year-old ancient Hui-style village for summer resorts

Among the most beautiful ancient summer resorts in the south of the Yangtze River, Hongcun in Anhui must be one of the top ones. It not only has a long history and beautiful scenery, but also is cool in summer. It is a great summer resort to hide in the ancient forest village.
Hongcun has preserved more than 140 buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, including traditional Hui-style buildings with high walls and deep courtyards.

Nanhu Lake was built in the Dingwei year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and has a history of more than 400 years. Nanhu Lake is located at the entrance of Hongcun Village. In summer, the lotus flowers are in full bloom and it is the best place to enjoy the sunset.
The two streams reflect the green, the ancient trees in front of the pavilion and the South Lake in front of the village are the most scenic areas in Hongcun.
Chengzhi Hall was the mansion of Wang Dinggui, a big salt merchant in the late Qing Dynasty. It was built in 1855 and has a history of 166 years. There are also air conditioners from a hundred years ago.
Tour route: Nanhu Painting Bridge - Nanhu Academy - Jingde Hall - Yuezhao - Wang's Ancestral Hall - Chengzhi Hall - Shuren Hall
Tickets: Hongcun tickets are included, the price is 104 yuan, 94 yuan if purchased online, and you can enter and exit freely within three days with your ID card and ticket stub. Delicacies: stinky salmon, Huangshan’s two specialties, loach stewed with tofu, etc. Snacks include hairy tofu, Huangshan sesame cakes, etc.
Accommodation: There are accommodations inside and outside Hongcun, most of which are homestays, so the prices start from around 200 yuan.
Transportation: There are three routes to Hongcun:
1. Tunxi Bus Station - Hongcun 24 yuan, frequent departures
2. Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou) - Hongcun about 20
3. Huangshan North Station - Hongcun: 30 yuan, one bus per hour
