A two-day and one-night parent-child hiking tour to Mingyue Mountain

Day 1:

At 9:00 in the morning, we set off from Nanchang and took a train to Yichun Station. After arriving, we took bus No. 4 to Gulou to experience the local historical and cultural atmosphere and had lunch nearby.

After lunch, we took bus No. 4 in the opposite direction to Mingyue Interchange, then changed to bus No. 118 and arrived at Wentow after a 40-minute ride. Here, we visited Wentow Ancient Well and experienced the charm of Mingyue Qianshiqing. The Qianshiqing performance starts at 2:30 pm every day, and it is a must-see.

After watching the performance, we took bus No. 118 at Wentow Central Primary School Station and arrived at the foot of Mingyue Mountain in half an hour. We chose to stay in a homestay at the exit of Mingyue Mountain, which is comfortable and affordable. The children had a great time catching small fish in the Yangxi River at the foot of the mountain.

Day 2:

At 8:00 in the morning, we started our hiking trip to Mingyue Mountain. With waterfalls and rivers along the way, we chose to walk along the wooden plank road on both sides of the river, which was both easy and pleasant. Although the road up the mountain was a bit steep and full of steps, the children were full of energy.

After 4 hours of effort, we finally arrived at the middle station of the cable car. The scenery along the way was breathtaking and unforgettable. Next, we took the cable car to the top of the mountain and then the sightseeing car to Moon Lake. At Moon Lake, we had a simple lunch (10 yuan a bucket of instant noodles) to replenish our energy.

After lunch, we started walking through Xingyue Cave and continued along Qingyun Plank Road. We took our time to take photos and enjoyed 2 hours of parent-child time. Finally, we returned to Moon Lake and felt the tranquility and beauty of nature.

At 4:30 pm, we took the cable car down the mountain and ended our unforgettable hiking trip. Then, we took bus No. 118 back to Mingyue Interchange, with a total fare of 6 yuan. At Mingyue Interchange, I chose to take bus No. 118 to Yaqianxi, then transfer to bus No. 6 and go directly to Yichun Station. The whole bus journey took about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

This trip to Mingyue Mountain cost us more than 100 yuan for accommodation, more than 90 yuan for tickets, 150 yuan for the cable car up and down, 30 yuan for the sightseeing car, and 30 yuan for food. Since the two children were free for tickets and cable car, the total cost was about 400 yuan. This trip was perfect and left us with unforgettable memories.
