Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area - Datong Township, Yilan County

Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area is located in Datong Township, Yilan County, at an altitude of 2000 meters. It was one of Taiwan's three major logging sites during the Japanese colonial period and was transformed into a forest recreation area in 1989. Within the recreation area, there is still a railway that was used to transport timber, which has since been converted into a bumper car ride for tourists. Every winter, when cold waves hit, the mountain gets frosty or snowy, attracting many visitors to come and enjoy the snow.
