Yunding Tianchi, located atop Qingyun Mountain in Yongtai County, Fujian Province, with an average elevation of over 1,000 meters, is known as the " Shangri-La above the Clouds . " The scenic area consists of five tourist areas: Flower Terraces, Tianchi Grassland, Emerald Valley, Red River Valley, and Colorful Waterfall Valley.
Tianchi Lake was formed by an ancient volcanic eruption millions of years ago. It is oval in shape, with a circumference of approximately 400 meters and an area of approximately 12 mu. Its average depth during flood season is 1.5 meters. The waters of Tianchi Lake are shimmering, surrounded by lush green grass. Surrounding the lake are numerous volcanic ejecta, including volcanic bombs.

Currently, Yunding Tianchi does not offer night visits or light shows. However, you can enjoy a peaceful evening around the lake, as the area is known for its tranquil ambiance.
Yunding Tianchi can get crowded during public holidays and weekends. The least crowded times to visit are during weekdays, especially in the morning or late afternoon.

After visiting Yunding Tianchi, you can take a taxi or bus back to Fuzhou city for more attractions. If you plan to continue traveling, taxis are available for further trips to nearby landmarks or transportation hubs.
