Longtan Lake | A hidden gem in Jiaoxi, Yilan for a relaxing stroll.

Breathtaking lake and mountain views! Longtan Lake is a serene and tranquil spot in Jiaoxi, Yilan. On weekdays, the area is not crowded, making it perfect for a leisurely walk along the lakeside. The trail around the lake spans approximately 3.3 kilometers and can be completed in about an hour. Alternatively, you can rent a bike to circle the lake and enjoy the gentle breeze for a more laid-back experience.

The trail is mostly designed with wooden boardwalks close to the lake, offering stunning views along the way. You might spot geese, ducks, water birds, or turtles leisurely roaming by the shore, making for great photo opportunities. However, the trail does pass by a cemetery, so those who mind should take note.

Currently, admission is free, and parking options include roadside white-line parking or a paid parking lot (NT$50 per entry). The location is easily accessible.
