Located along the Dongshan River in Yilan, the Dongshan River Ecological Green Boat (also known as Dongshan River Forest Park) is a park that integrates eco-friendly living, green tourism, and environmental education. The park offers expansive views, with the east bank preserving native vegetation, making it an excellent habitat for migratory birds. The riverside features a cycling path, perfect for biking or leisurely walks. On hot summer days, you can relax in the gentle green waves, with a cool breeze and the chirping of birds under the shade of lush trees—an ideal spot for unwinding. Near the railway bridge extending from Dongshan Train Station, there is a pedestrian bridge called "Forest Pulse," where visitors can enjoy close-up views of passing trains. Beneath the bridge, there are sightseeing boats available for a 15-minute tour of the Dongshan River, making it a great activity for family outings.
