I didn't do any research before going, but simply asked the owner of the rental shop which local restaurants were the best. 🤝 I didn't make any mistakes.

Besides the hand rolls, the staff at this place will introduce the freshly caught fish of the day and explain how to cook it before ordering. d(^_^o) It was so delicious I couldn't even take a picture. 🤪 The sashimi portions are also huge. If you're unsure what to order, just look at the rankings on the wall to find your favorites!

On the first day, we watched the sunset (err, there wasn't a sunset, lol. I wasn't afraid of the sun in the evening).
The next morning, we watched the sunrise. After the sunrise, we went to the old street for breakfast. Since it was early, there were no lines. 🤣
Lao Zhang's breakfast bar was really delicious. 😋

I had a blast on my first trip to Toucheng, Yilan. ❤️

Oh, and there's also a traditional ice cream shop. My family and I all said it was super delicious. 🤭

It was crowded...a great place to take photos and check in... As a casual traveler like me, I felt a little ripped off by going to a cafe. LOL

I took the Kuo-Kuang Bus from Taipei Nangang Bus Station to Toucheng, Yilan. It took about an hour, and the fare was cheap!

Everyone dreads traffic jams when traveling back to Taipei from Yilan. I recommend the bus for the return trip as well! This time, I took the Kuo-Kuang Bus, which runs every hour, to Toucheng, Yilan. ✨

Because the bus has priority driving rights, it allows quick access to the highway and has dedicated lanes, so the journey from Yilan to Taipei's Nangang Bus Terminal takes about an hour. 🤫
