Staying in a cave hotel is an absolute must when visiting Cappadocia, and Sultan Cave Suites stood out as one of the most popular options when we researched for our trip.

Upon arrival, the place was truly as wonderful as we had hoped. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all our questions and guiding us to our incredible room. We actually stayed in a real cave!

However, the highlight of staying at this hotel wasn’t just the beautiful room or exceptional service—it was the breathtaking view from one of the best spots in Cappadocia to watch the hot air balloons in the morning. We woke up very early to experience this magical activity, which is an absolute must when visiting the area.

Hundreds of colorful hot air balloons floated gracefully in the sky above the ancient, picturesque buildings of Göreme. It was one of the most stunning scenes we’ve ever witnessed. Despite the cold morning air, it was completely worth it. (We were there in December)
