There is a Suzhou-style garden in Fuyang, Yingzhou, which is a surprise compared to the rough and bold regional style of Northern Anhui!
You Family Garden, originally named "Youyuan", also known as "Huaishang Park", was originally a private garden built in the late Qing Dynasty. It has a typical Suzhou garden style and is famous for its "strange flowers, exotic grass, pine trees, and strange stones". It is known as the "Yu Garden of Northern Anhui"!
When you first enter, you will be shocked by the large persimmon trees at the entrance and in the garden. Looking at the persimmons on the trees, it is understood that these fruits will not be picked and are left for the birds.
There are small bridges and flowing water, rockeries and long corridors, pavilions and pavilions in the garden. The overall layout is small and exquisite, with changing scenery and a blend of north and south architectural styles.
The iconic points in the courtyard include the miniature version of "Three Pools Mirroring the Moon", White Jade Tower, Lanyue Residence, the treasure of the garden "Qinglong Pan Stone", Fengbo Pavilion, Reading Hall, Songgui Pavilion, Xianggui Building, Jingzuo Hall, Zhanwang Pavilion, General Stele Pavilion, etc. Each one contains historical stories. While admiring the beautiful scenery and quaint buildings in the garden, you are also learning about a period of history and the culture it inherits.
