🏡 Recommended Hotel: Xinghe Yueshe Homestay (Yining Six Star Street Scenic Area Branch)
📍 Location: No. 17, Lane 4, Liguang Street, Yining City
🏡 Highlights: I stayed at Xinghe Yueshe for three nights, and the convenience of "stepping downstairs to the core of the scenic area + walking to all food and drinks" saved me a lot of energy on my trip. Although located in the heart of the scenic area, it lacks the over-decoration of trendy homestays. Instead, it offers the simplicity of blue walls visible through the window and the surprise of encountering singing and dancing downstairs—Six Star Street. The homestay is tucked deep in an inner alley; when returning late, only the faint melody of an accordion remains, and the soundproof glass completely blocks out the noise. Turn right out of the homestay to reach the main alley of Six Star Street. Stroll before 9 a.m. to enjoy the empty "dopamine" colorful street 510. Alexander Accordion Hall (3-minute walk) and Gulandamu Ice Cream Shop (5 minutes) are all within walking distance.
🛏 Room Tested: Clean and practical with attention to detail. The "Stargazing Pavilion" queen room (28㎡) I stayed in exceeded expectations: handmade embroidered pillows + smart curtains, floor heating that dispels the northwest night chill (heats up in 10 minutes as tested), a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas and stable water pressure, complete toiletries; the hairdryer is powerful enough to dry long hair in 5 minutes. Dual USB ports by the bedside + wooden hangers (not cheap plastic), and the soundproof glass is effective as tested. Family rooms come with children's slippers but no entertainment facilities; an 8-minute walk away is a children's art studio. Staying 2 consecutive nights includes a Gulandamu ice cream voucher (worth 15 yuan).
🎵 In-depth Experience: Unlock hidden ways to enjoy Six Star Street:
No breakfast misses: The homestay cooperates with "Apple Fragrance" restaurant (2-minute walk), where a 10 yuan set includes milk tea + jam rye bread, personally baked by the owner Liliya;
Worry-free travel photography: The front desk can book a cooperating travel photography studio (5-minute walk), 198 yuan including clothing + 30 photos. The photographer is familiar with 10 popular photo spots like the internet-famous wall and blue carriage;
Night tour bonus: After 9 p.m., walk to the central square and often encounter residents dancing the Black Zouma dance, joining in is effortless.
On Six Star Street, time should be wasted listening to music and daydreaming.
