A Glimpse of Disappointment in Depth - The Unconventional Journey to Linyi's Underground Grand Canyon and the Firefly Cave
I must admit, the visit to the Underground Grand Canyon and the Firefly Cave weighed heavily on my soul, compelling me to express my turbulent emotions. The so-called natural wonders and fairyland on earth left me with nothing but a sense of helpless head-shaking.
Underground Grand Canyon The name of the Underground Grand Canyon is magnificent, yet the reality is so incongruous. Upon entry, you're immediately forced to buy a combo ticket, with the price tag mercilessly inflated, and the subsequent 'Little Flying Dragon' adds new scars to the already hefty ticket cost. Is this a tour or another form of exploitation? Not far into the journey, you're recommended to take a rafting trip, which I assumed was included in the ticket, only to find it's a separate transaction. If you don't comply, even finding your way out can be confusing.
Firefly Cave The Firefly Cave, once anticipated for its romantic moments, turns out to be a letdown. The attractions are far apart, with inconvenient transportation, leaving one exhausted and half-hearted. The so-called firefly cave, with its sparse lighting, resembles the lonely stars in the night sky, far different from the twinkling stars I had imagined.
Here's a detailed guide, hoping that future visitors won't follow in my footsteps of regret:
1. Ticket budget: The total cost of the combo ticket and additional activities should not exceed 300 yuan, and be wary of extra charges.
2. Transportation: Self-driving tourists can flexibly arrange their schedule, while other visitors should consider the convenience of round-trip transportation.
3. Sightseeing options: Participate in rafting and other activities at your discretion, but assess their value for money.
4. Firefly experience: Avoid buying irrelevant souvenirs and adjust your expectations to prevent disappointment.
Shandong, your underground wonders are natural treasures bestowed by Mother Nature, yet the excessive commercialization has stripped these treasures of their original luster. Lin Huiyin once said, 'Falling in love with a city may be for a person, or for the lush mountains and waters.' Now, as I try to fall in love with this land, all I see is a thick commercial haze, obscuring the pure beauty of nature.
