My favorite vacation town so far

I wanted to find a place full of New Year vibes, delicious food, and fun activities for the Lunar New Year, and Yaohu Town is the perfect choice.
Yaohu Town is a new benchmark tourist destination in China after Wuzhen and Gubei Water Town. It features the dopamine-boosting Bamboo Rat Water Park, the fun Cloud Train, the stunning Longteng Water Show and Fireworks, and a Chinese-style party with Nuo dance, fire dance, and other intangible cultural heritage performances.
🚗 By car: Navigate to "Yaohu Town Visitor Center"
🚄 By high-speed rail: After arriving at Yixing Station, you can take the free shuttle bus to the scenic area.
➊ Stroll around the town
The architecture here combines the characteristics of different dynasties, and every step is a beautiful view. Strolling around during the day is a great way to take photos. Standing on the lakeside trestle bridge, you can see half of the mountains and water and half of the ancient town. The aerial view of the lake on a sunny day is very blue.
➋ Chinese-style party
I prefer the lively night to the daytime. When various intangible cultural heritage performances are presented before my eyes, I am amazed by the ultimate aesthetics of our ancestors.
➌ Dragon-shaped water show + Longteng fireworks show
With the brightly lit town as the background, the water columns of the water show spray like dragons. The fireworks lasted for more than 20 minutes, and the visual and auditory experience was really shocking. The scene was so beautiful!
➍ Cloud Train
The train circles the entire town, with stops in the middle where you can get off. It runs both day and night. I recommend taking the neon version of the train at night. The interior decoration is quite ceremonial, and you can enjoy the night view of Yaohu and the fireworks and water show through the window. It's really romantic.
➎ Bamboo Rat Water Park
You can enjoy the water in winter. The indoor temperature is constant, making it suitable for family trips.
🏠 Overall, Yaohu Town is perfect for a short trip. If you have enough time, a two-day, one-night trip is also a good choice. I plan to bring my family here again! 😘
