Unexpectedly, there are such great places near Yangzhou for cooling off and water fun!
Completely relax for 2 days in this mountain town. The town’s amusement park is incredibly comfortable. After playing in Yangzhou, head straight here. Yangzhou has many fun attractions. We stayed at the Mercure near Yangzhou East High-Speed Rail Station, which is convenient for sightseeing and offers exceptionally good service.

📍Location: Yaohu Town
✔️Transportation: Take the bullet train to Yixing Station, then a 30-minute taxi ride to the town
✔️Accommodation: We stayed at the Kiln Factory Resort Hotel. The rooms are large and very comfortable! There’s also a shuttle bus with unlimited trips between the scenic area and the hotel~
✔️Cloud Train: Upon entering the park, take the cloud train. You don’t have to go to Switzerland to experience the same red and white little train, which passes through bamboo forests and tea fields. The window views are truly beautiful!
✔️Zizai Valley & Fish Scale Dam: After getting off the train, a short walk brings you here. The layered streams of Fish Scale Dam really have that Jiangnan water town vibe. You can go wading (perfect for kids to play!), and nearby you can also go creek tracing, camping, paddleboarding, watch performances, and visit markets.
✔️Blue Crystal Creek: Keep walking up and you’ll see it—a visually cooling blue Danube River🧊! There’s also a hot air balloon installation nearby.
✔️Floral Wonderland: On the way back, you’ll pass a flower waterfall💐 with mist swirling around, perfect for photos. If you get tired, there’s a KFC nearby where you can enjoy air conditioning.
✔️Dragon Kiln Street: The dragon kiln firing performance is super impressive! The whole street lets you feel Yixing’s purple clay culture.
✔️Water Sports: You can row boats🚣, ride jet boats, water Rolls-Royces, and more.
✔️Dragon Soaring Water Show & Fireworks: From the viewing platform, you can see the full show. It’s recommended to arrive 15 minutes early to secure a spot. Fireworks and the water show launch simultaneously, with distant rowing boats and the town’s night scenery shining brightly. The celestial palace is vividly brought to life! You can also enjoy the water show and fireworks on a cyberpunk-style special train.
✔️Millennium Kiln Fire Heritage Show: If you come on the weekend, don’t miss this intangible cultural heritage fusion show at Shehuo Square! It’s definitely worth watching.
✔️Yaohu Four Seasons Water World: If it’s too hot and you don’t want to explore the town, you can take the shuttle directly to Yaohu Four Seasons Water World for an afternoon of fun. There are indoor and outdoor areas, 🌊 tons of water activities, plus MCDJ shows and performances! A whole day of crazy fun is so joyful~
