Spring Mountain View | Weekend oxygen retreat in the Yixing mountains
Drove to Yixing! The rainy Yixing scenery truly lives up to the phrase "misty Jiangnan, picturesque as poetry." As a hotel enthusiast, I made a special trip to check in at Spring Mountain View Hotel, and the experience was exceptional.

The hotel occupies an entire mountain, surrounded by bamboo forests and towering trees. Arriving at the reception by shuttle felt like stumbling into a hidden utopia. What’s more, the hotel seamlessly blends local charm and Chinese culture, exuding elegance in every detail. The interior spaces, designed by renowned designer Xie Ke, are minimalist yet artistic, embracing the beauty of negative space.

My personal favorite was the dining 🍽️. Rumor has it the owner has deep roots in the culinary industry, and the in-house restaurant Shang Yuan delivers exquisite, delicious dishes. Breakfast is semi-buffet style—beyond the à la carte set menu, the buffet hot dishes are equally high-quality, featuring local specialties like braised pork with dried bamboo shoots, osmanthus lotus root, and mugwort-boiled eggs.

Service was impeccable, with staff kindly offering umbrellas in the rain. The owners were incredibly warm-hearted too. During our chat, I learned about the untold hardships behind launching this hotel. As the owner put it, "Passion conquers all." I genuinely hope their venture flourishes!
