Visit Sen Yu Xian to try the Taiwanese sweet "Tao Yuan"

I wanted to eat the Taiwanese sweet "Taoyuan", so I went to Meet Fresh in Yokohama Chinatown.

Taoyuan is a sweet that is like a potato mochi with a chewy texture like shiratama.

It is made from taro, sweet potato, and taro.

It is often eaten with herbal jelly, which tastes like Chinese medicine, pearl barley, and red beans soaked in coconut milk.

In winter, a warm version is also available, so it is recommended for a warm time.

It is also available for takeout, but it hardens and sticks together after a short time.

This time, I wanted to eat a lot of taro balls with warm milk, so I skipped the herbal jelly. Instead, I added a herbal drink. I also topped it with small taro balls about half the size of tapioca.

The herbal drink was quite sweet, so I regretted it halfway through... I think I should have paired it with oolong tea or jasmine tea.
