Yamaha Music Yokohama Minato Mirai opened in June this year, just a minute's walk from Shin-Takashima Station.
I've been interested in it since it first opened, and finally got to go! 🥹🩷

This is an interactive shop where you can casually enjoy music and instruments. 🎸
It's located on the 1st-3rd floors of Yokohama Symphoftage, and this time I visited the 1st and 2nd floors.

[1st Floor] Experience Zone "Music Canvas"
A new art space where you can not only hear, but also see and feel the music.
The first thing that catches your eye upon entering is the giant display that covers the entire wall of the atrium. 𓏗𓏗

・Music Canvas Show
This special show, held every hour, combines automated musical instruments and artistic videos for a spectacular, must-see experience. 🎹

・Al Duo Piano
Play simple melodies accompanied by lights and enjoy a piano experience with gorgeous AI accompaniment.🎹
The images on the large display change in response to the piano's sounds, creating a one-of-a-kind piece of art.🖼️

・Hug Me
The cello, viola, violin, and other stringed instruments on the sofa play automatically, like breathing. You can pick them up, hug them, or even sleep with them.🫢🎻

・Art of Sound
A glittering, gigantic piece of art made from saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, and flute parts.🎶
Each instrument is carefully crafted and polished by a wind instrument craftsman, creating a truly impressive space.

・Tall Bass
A towering, tree-trunk-like instrument.
The sound is produced by plucking a single string stretched across the body.

[2nd Floor]
・MUSIC SHOWCASE
A wide variety of musical instruments are displayed in a large glass case.
Apparently, there are over 250 instruments in the large glass case! 🫢

・Sheet Music/Books/Music Goods
A selection of over 25,000 books.
In addition to new and previously published sheet music from Yamaha,
a wide variety of Japanese and Western books are available. 📚

・Wind Instruments, String Instruments, Percussion Instruments, and Wind Instrument Repair Corner
Not only can you see wind instruments, string instruments, percussion instruments, and wind instruments,
you can actually play them! 😲🎷
Even beginners can enjoy playing instruments.

・Pianos/Digital Pianos/Electones/Keyboards
A wide variety of keyboard instruments are available, some of which you can try out.
