Okurayama Park is famous as a famous plum blossom spot

About 220 plum trees of 46 varieties bloom in spring.

Every year from late January to March,
they bloom in order of early, mid, and late blooming,
so you can enjoy the plum blossoms for a long period of time.

This is a scene from the Okurayama Plum Blossom Viewing Event, held on Saturday, February 22nd and Sunday, February 23rd, 2025.

A special stage was set up, and performances included Japanese drums, dancing, lion dancing, koto and shakuhachi.

In front of the stage, a "nodate" ceremony was held,
where you could enjoy tea ceremony.

There were also many food stalls,
and the place was bustling with people who came to enjoy the arrival of spring.
