#cherryblossom25
I stumbled upon Mitsuike Park through the #cherryblossom25 hashtag, and I’m so glad I followed the trail. This gem in Yokohama is less touristy, giving off more of a local vibe. The park has three ponds (hence “Mitsuike”) and each is surrounded by cherry trees in bloom — over 1,600 of them, in fact. The variety of blossoms is what sets it apart; you get everything from soft pastels to rich pink hues. I went around noon and took a peaceful two-hour walk, stopping constantly for photos. It’s also a great place for birdwatching and spotting turtles in the water. The view from the hill near the third pond is breathtaking — a perfect frame of water, petals, and sky. For anyone trying to explore sakura away from Tokyo’s crowds, Mitsuike is perfect. Felt like a secret garden. Definitely one of my favorite spots tagged with #cherryblossom25.
