Tour of the Nippon Yusen Hikawa Maru!

#AbsolutelyFreeTrip
Hikawa Maru is a cargo-passenger ship built by Nippon Yusen in 1930 for the Seattle route. It was completed as the most advanced ship at the time.
After being retired in 1960, it was moored and preserved in front of Yamashita Park from 1961, and reopened in 2008 as the Nippon Yusen Hikawa Maru.
It is the only cargo-passenger ship built in Japan before the war and still standing, and is highly regarded as a valuable industrial heritage that conveys shipbuilding technology and the interior of passenger ships, and was designated an Important Cultural Property in 2016.

On board, there is a "passenger ship area" where you can see the passenger rooms, a "crew area" that introduces the crew's workspace, and an exhibition area that tells the history of the Hikawa Maru.
