Xi'an Family Trip|Stay with Kids in a Mountain Guesthouse Straight Out of a French Movie Scene

Want to give your kids a unique holiday? Highly recommend this family-friendly resort near Xi'an that looks like a scene from a French film!
The moment you arrive, you feel healed—no crowds, just green mountains, courtyards, and slow, relaxing time. You can play with the kids all day without getting bored, with a focus on chilling out🍃
The No. 6 Courtyard we stayed in is tailor-made for families with kids! The courtyard is bustling with blooming hydrangeas, and the kids keep chasing bees nonstop🐝 The spacious living room on the first floor lets the kids run wild, and the long dining table is perfect for the whole family to sit around and eat; the four bedrooms on the second floor can accommodate two to three families, and the biggest surprise is the outdoor bathtub in the garden—after a day of playing with the kids, you can soak comfortably in the evening🛁
The guesthouse’s homemade dishes are perfect for kids! Fresh eggs, fresh vegetables, simply cooked but super tasty, no more chasing kids to eat🥦
The café next to the courtyard is a treasure spot for walking with kids (see photos 4-8, 14)! The wooden structure with greenery looks like a little house from a fairy tale. Sitting by the window with the kids, watching the mountain breeze rustle the leaves, the kids are as quiet as little angels👼
Must-do activities with kids:
✅ In the afternoon, pick petals and make patterns with your kids in the courtyard to cultivate imagination
✅ At sunset, take the kids to the platform to watch the sun slowly hide behind the mountains, explain how the evening glow forms, learning while playing🌞
✅ Wake up early to watch the sea of clouds with the kids (luck-dependent), tell them it’s Grandpa Mountain’s cotton candy, their eyes will be wide and adorable👀
📍Address: Huapopo Guesthouse (Ziyang County, Ankang City)
🚗 Transportation: 3-4 hours drive from Xi'an, prepare some picture books to keep the kids entertained on the way
Fun fact: This guesthouse is also a poverty alleviation project! Combining beautiful scenery with helping local people, bringing kids here is also a great way to teach love and responsibility, very educational❤️
