"Rediscover Art at the Yokohama Museum of Art: Free Area, Famous Exhibitions, Cafe & Shop"

This photo shows the exhibition "Trialogue: 20th Century Western Art Collections from the Yokohama Museum of Art, Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, and Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art" held at the Yokohama Museum of Art. The rhythmic layout, featuring works by masters of 20th-century art, is impressive (the photo shows a past exhibition).

"Rediscover the Yokohama Museum of Art: Free Area, Masterpiece Exhibitions, and Cafe & Shop"

The Yokohama Museum of Art, located in Yokohama's Minato Mirai district, is further expanding its appeal with its renovation!
The free "Free Area" has been expanded, allowing visitors to experience the world of art without paying admission.
1. Free Viewing Area: "The free "Free Area" brings art closer to you. Take a break at the cafe for a luxurious moment where art and everyday life blend seamlessly."
The Grand Gallery and corridors, known as the "Free Area," are open to the public for free. Enjoy the open space centered around the grand staircase, as well as the sculptures and ceramics, and spend a relaxing time immersed in art. In addition, the art library, now relocated to the bright ground floor, offers free access to exhibition catalogs and specialized books.

2. Memories of the Trialogue Exhibition (Past Exhibition)
The previous "Trialogue Exhibition" showcased approximately 120 masterpieces by artists such as Picasso, Dali, and Warhol from the collections of three museums in Yokohama, Aichi, and Toyama, organized into 30-year periods. Along with detailed commentary, the exhibition looked back on the history of Western art.

3. Museum Shop "MYNATE"
The spacious shop offers a wide selection of original museum goods, works by local artists, related catalogs, and books. The mugs and chocolates featuring Yoshitomo Nara's "Spring Girl" are particularly popular.

4. Cafe "Bashamichi Jubankan Tea Room"
Opening in November 2024, this cafe faithfully recreates the flavors of the long-established Bashamichi Jubankan pastry shop. Enjoy self-service cakes, snacks, and drinks, and relax on the outdoor terrace or in the hotel lounge. .
