[Hunan Province, China] Experience Miao clothing in Furong Town!

This was my first trip to China since visa restrictions were lifted in Japan, and I chose Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province.
My intended destination was Tianmen Mountain, but I also decided to check out Furong Town, which I'd seen online and been interested in.

To get there, take the high-speed train from Zhangjiajie West Station, which is about 20 minutes away.
You purchase your ticket by showing your passport at the ticket counter.
In China, where identification is required for everything, it's a good idea to carry your passport with you at all times.
(There's a physical inspection at each high-speed train station, and you're forced to drink any beverages on the spot as a safety precaution.)

After arriving at Furong Town Station, the taxi I'd requested via the app didn't arrive, so I ended up taking a suspicious taxi that had hailed me. 😂
I still don't understand why I chose that route.
I took the same suspicious taxi on the way back, but they told me I'd have to take a detour because the roads were bad!
If I'd waited patiently, the taxi I'd requested via the app would have arrived.
It was slow, but it's still better to use the app.

I went around 3-4pm, and not many shops were open, so I was able to quietly admire the old townscape.
Everyone was eating lunch, so it felt like everyday life was back in full swing.

To enter the area with many photo spots,
an additional ticket is required, so purchase one.

[About Sightseeing]
The scenery is beautiful from dusk to night.
At night, you can especially enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful waterfalls and buildings illuminated by lights.
I didn't go into any of the restaurants, so I can't speak to the quality of the food...

[About the Miao Costume Experience]
As soon as I entered, the costume experience staff were trying to attract customers.
I exchanged WeChat details and let them know I'd be there at night.
There are many costume shops, but
the one I chose was quite tucked away.
I forgot the name of the shop,
but it was a shop with a young male staff member who was proactive in approaching customers.
The costume selection, makeup artistry, and photography skills were all excellent!
You can view their past photo shoots and see the costumes in person before making your selection. (Men can do it too.)
The total time was about 15 minutes for makeup, 5 minutes for changing clothes, 30 minutes for shooting, and 10 minutes for editing.
The photographer was also very talented, and the shoot went very smoothly.
After the shoot, selecting the photos (9 photos; more is charged) was also easy.
The edited photos were then sent to WeChat.
I think the cost was around JPY 6,000-10,000.
(Sorry, I'm a bit hazy.)

I was very satisfied with the beautiful photos I got taken in the beautiful Miao costumes and scenery.
It was a great memory from this trip.

It doesn't take much time, so I recommend you go to Furong Town, see the beautiful scenery, and take some photos!

Thank you to my Chinese friends for all their support.
