Xiangxi Immortal Ancient Town Night Never Ends

Millennium ancient town, cliff waterfalls, Tujia and Miao villages…
Compared to Changsha, I love this immortal millennium ancient town hidden in Xiangxi even more, especially at night when the lights first come on, the whole town is brilliantly dazzling and truly incomparable in beauty.

If you are planning to visit Furong Town,
remember to save this two-day one-night travel guide.

Location: Furong Town
Transportation: After arriving at Furong Town High-Speed Rail Station, take a 15-minute taxi ride.

[Travel Route]
Baishoutang – Copper Pillar Garden – Tuwang Bridge – Tingtao Road Ancient Street – Chu-Shu Tongjin – Great Waterfall – City Gate Pier – Wuli Stone Slab Street – Tiaoyan – Youyang Palace

Chuwang Palace Babutang (pl): Stand on the plank road to overlook the waterfall and ancient town.
Waterfall Viewing Platform: Here you can overlook the entire waterfall panorama, very stunning.
Chuwang Bridge: Big red lanterns hang high, perfect for photos.

[About Accommodation]
Compared to the noisy homestays inside the scenic area, this time I chose the high-quality and comfortable [Annai Xizhou Ji Hotel] outside the scenic area. The hotel has a laundry room, book bar, gym, tea bar, children’s play area, and at night there is a lighted waterfall. The hotel design is exquisite, decorated with many Xiangxi Tujia ethnic ornaments. Additionally, the hotel offers high-speed rail shuttle service, which is very thoughtful. The hotel is located on Furong Town Old Street, just a three-minute walk away, and room service is available. Staying here when visiting Furong Town is definitely a good choice.

Friends coming from other places can also visit the Shanzhenlu Chinese Restaurant to taste authentic local specialties; every dish is worth savoring carefully.

Travel Tips:
If time allows, stay a few more days to explore. You can visit Buer Men Forest Park and enjoy hot springs; go hiking in Long Gorge; go rafting on Mengdong River; see crustal movements at the Red Stone Forest.
In winter, the water is low; June to September is the season when the waterfall is spectacular.
Lights turn on at 7:30 PM, arrive early to get a good photo spot.
