This year's National Day trip was to avoid the crowds and chose a very niche city - Yongzhou, an ancient city with a thousand-year history, and also the Lingling Ancient City in Liu Zongyuan's "Eight Records of Yongzhou". To avoid the crowds, Yongzhou is definitely worth a visit.

🗓Itinerary:
1️⃣ Lingling Ancient City
Also known as the Ancient City of Yongzhou, it has a history of more than 2,000 years and is full of profound cultural heritage. It is one of the birthplaces of Chinese landscape poetry.
2️⃣Liuzi Street
The long alleys of the city are the best place to live. Liu Zongyuan's Liuzi Temple is also here.
3️⃣ Pingzhou Academy
There is an ancient academy on the river, which is very quiet. It is the place where the Xiangjiang River and the Xiaoshui River meet. It is also the first of the eight scenic spots in Yongzhou. You need to take a boat to get there.
4️⃣Xiake Ferry
It is one of the five major ferry crossings in the ancient city of Yongzhou and can be called a thousand-year-old ferry. Because of Xu Xiake's travel notes about Chunan, the ferry was renamed Xiake Ferry and is now open for people to travel.
5️⃣Dongshan Scenic Area (Wumiao Gaoshan Temple)🏯
The Temple of Wu, also known as the Guandi Temple, was first built in the Ming Dynasty. The existing buildings were constructed in the tenth year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1884). The only authentic ancient buildings that remain are the main hall and the porch. Gaoshan Temple, also known as Fahua Temple, was first built in the middle Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,300 years. Liu Zongyuan was exiled to Lingling for ten years, and Gaoshan Temple became his residence.
