As night falls, I enter the Beihai Tunnel in Nangan, Matsu. The water is as tranquil as a mirror. As the fishermen row their oars, their boats piercing the darkness, a dreamy glow erupts—Matsu's most precious wonder, the Blue Tears.
The shimmering blue light follows the shadows of the oars, like stars falling into the sea, or the eyes of the earth opening in the night. The rock face above the tunnel is reflected in it, creating a sense of entering a secret realm enveloped in blue.
Sitting on a small rowboat, surrounded only by the sound and echo of water, time seems to stand still. This experience is not only a natural wonder, but also a spiritual cleansing. The Blue Tears of the Beihai Tunnel are one of Matsu's most captivating wonders—a dreamlike journey of night, sea, and soul.
