This time, my friends and I unlocked Yuan Shi Panlong Lake in the suburbs of Shijiazhuang! We chose the Xiaoye Yushi Panlong Lake Homestay, which is literally a party heaven. Just a 40-minute drive from downtown, it’s the perfect stress-free weekend getaway~ BBQ + fishing + frisbee + board games all in one place, and you can even have the whole lake and mountain scenery to yourselves!

• 180° lake-view terrace facing Panlong Lake, watching the sunset dye the water red is breathtaking

1. Buy beef short ribs/lamb leg/squid in advance in the city (recommend the beef and lamb from Qingzhensi Street)
2. Arrive at 3 PM to set up the camping canopy, guys start the fire while girls prepare the skewers
3. Start grilling at sunset, paired with chilled beer and the Bluetooth speaker provided by the homestay for the perfect vibe
4. At night, play games like German Heart Attack or Werewolf, and look up to see a starry sky you can’t find in the city

💡 Travel Tips:
• Recommended for groups of 5-8 people to split the cost of the grill and venue, making it more affordable
• In summer, remember to bring mosquito repellent and a small fan; the homestay provides ice but in limited amounts
• Nearby you can also visit Evergrande Children’s World (15-minute drive)
