Liyu Ancient Village, Yudu, Jiangxi

Liyu Village is located in Luo'ao Town, Yudu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is a typical natural village surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one side, adjacent to the Gong River. On the south bank of the Gong River, opposite the village, there is a mountain shaped like a carp, hence the name "Liyu Village". Liyu Village has more than 486 households with a population of 1,916. The village has only two surnames, Xiong and Xie, who have lived in harmony for generations.
Liyu Village has a history of more than 700 years, and in ancient times, many officials emerged from here. There are many historical sites in the village, such as the "Da Fu Di" stone plaque on the right side of the Xiong Family Temple, which has a history of more than 500 years. This plaque was written and presented by Yuan Qingxiang, a Jinshi from Guangdong Di'an Chashi, to Xiong Jia Wu Mu Gong Jinshi in the winter of Zhengde Wuyin (1526), and is listed as one of the "Provincial Cultural Relics Protection" units. In addition, there are historical relics such as the "Jiangling Family" stone plaque in the village. It is the sixth batch of traditional Chinese villages.
