[Yufuin] A must-visit art museum

I've always wanted to visit the COMICO ART MUSEUM YUFUIN in Yufuin since it was built.

Reservations must be made the day before to enter.

The museum was designed by Kengo Kuma and has a beautiful exterior.

The COMICO ART HOUSE YUFUIN is also located on the premises, and you can even stay overnight.

It was a wonderful museum with architecture that blends in with the scenery and artworks by some of Japan's leading contemporary artists.

Please note that there are areas where photography is allowed and areas where it is not.
There is also a free audio guide (Japanese only).

I went there because I wanted to see the dog, a work by Yoshitomo Nara, in the rooftop garden on the second floor.
I was overwhelmed with emotion when I finally got to see the dog.

Other highlights include works by Takashi Murakami, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Yayoi Kusama.
