[Oita/Yufu] Beautiful spots to visit in Yufuin!

"Kinrin Lake"
This lake is located just across Yunotsubo Kaido from Yufuin Station! The clear water and greenery were beautiful!
Fresh water and hot springs bubble up from the bottom of the lake, and the high water temperature creates a fantastical scene of mist rising in the early winter mornings due to the temperature difference between the lake and the air.
Kinrin Lake was formerly known as "Gaku-nshita-ike" (the pond below the mountain), but in the early Meiji period, a Confucian scholar named Mori Kuso named it "Kinrin Lake" after seeing the fish scales in the lake shining golden in the setting sun!
