Yufuin
is another lovely and highly recommended city. This small town nestled amidst the mountains is especially beautiful during the fall or fall foliage season.
I must say it's incredibly beautiful.
Yufuin's famous attraction is Lake Kirin. Enjoy the onsen and the stunning autumn foliage. If you prefer a quiet atmosphere, we recommend staying overnight. If you're short on time, Lake Kirin is not a particularly large lake, allowing you to stroll around and enjoy the view.
You can also visit in the morning or return in the evening.
It's also very convenient to get to from Fukuoka.

I give it a 10/10 for autumn foliage season.
