A complete guide to a one-day trip to Yufuin, super fulfilling!

Family members, get up early and travel, so you can stay in Beppu and soak in the hot springs at night! Pull the suitcase and go! Because I applied for the visa late, I didn't book the Yufuin-no-Mori train with a suitable time, so I chose the earliest Yufu train. I recommend everyone to choose the seat on the right. The scenery from the fields to the mountains along the way is so healing!

🎈Outbound Storage
After arriving at Yufuin Station, you can store your luggage at the store diagonally opposite to the left for only 500 yen. Get on the road easily and start shopping and eating mode!

🏞Walk around Kinrin Lake
Follow the navigation to Jinlin Lake. It is recommended to choose the country road along the river that takes a little time. You can perfectly avoid Korean tour groups and enjoy the super beautiful rural scenery. You can take pictures with just a click. Although Jinlin Lake is small, it is so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off it. The lake surface is steaming, like a fairyland.

🍔 Food check-in
Coming out of Kinrin Lake, head straight to the SNOOPY Tea House. When I saw grilled giant mushrooms on the road, I promised myself that I would eat them even if I had to wait in line! Remember that each person is limited to two. If you are traveling as a family, don't just send one person to queue, otherwise there may not be enough to eat. The fried chicken skewers opposite taste good too, so let’s check in there too.

🎨Art Journey
After eating, I walked around the commercial street and navigated to COMICO ART MUSEUM YUFUIN, where there are works by Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, and Yoshitomo Nara. The cute puppy sculptures are super photogenic, so art lovers should not miss it.

Finally, we checked the appropriate train and headed to the next stop - Beppu, ending our fulfilling and wonderful trip to Yufuin!
