Best Viewing Time
Yuhuan's rapeseed flowers generally enter their peak blooming period from mid-March to early April, when the sea of flowers is at its most spectacular.
Recommended Viewing Spots
1. North Huandao Road
This is one of Yuhuan's most famous rapeseed flower viewing spots. After exiting the Xiqingling Tunnel, both sides are overflowing with a golden sea of flowers. The largest rapeseed field is located in front of the Xiqingtang Complex Building. The clear river divides the fields into sections, creating a well-arranged landscape.
2. Xiaopuzhu Village, Yucheng Subdistrict
Located by the seawall, there are fifty to sixty mu of rapeseed fields, stretching from the roadside to the foot of the mountain. Looking out from a high vantage point, the fields are scattered in an orderly fashion, and birds fly among the flowers, full of life.
3. Fushan
The rapeseed fields here are distributed in terraces, layered in yellow and green, resembling an oil painting. Overlooking from the hillside, the golden terraces complement the distant green mountains.
4. Jiangjia Village, Lupu
With high mountains as a backdrop and a wide river surface, the lush rapeseed fields, along with egrets and ducks, create a typical idyllic landscape.
5. Lixintang, Shamen
This is a newly popular flower viewing spot, decorated with pink Brown Bear statues, Dutch windmills, and floating balloons. Every photo taken here is a masterpiece. The buzzing of bees and the fragrance of flowers make it an ideal place for photography.
6. Xuanmen Bay Wetland Park
The rapeseed fields in the park cover an area of 360 mu. The golden sea of flowers complements the wetland scenery, presenting a natural and simple pastoral landscape.
Transportation Guide
• North Huandao Road: From Yuhuan, drive along Shicheng Line to North Huandao Road.
• Lixintang, Shamen: Navigate to "Shamen Lixintang." There is a dedicated parking lot.
• Xuanmen Bay Wetland Park: You can take public transportation or drive. There are clear traffic signs within the park.
Photography Tips
• Choose a sunny day for shooting. Side lighting is best.
• Use a telephoto lens to include the blue sky in the frame and add depth.
• You can smell the flowers and run in the flower fields to capture a natural atmosphere.
Other Precautions
• Be aware of bee stings when viewing flowers. Try to avoid areas with a high concentration of bees.
