[Blue Moon Valley | Yunnan's long letter to the lakes and mountains]

The name itself sounds poetic, but it was only when I saw it with my own eyes that I understood why this place is called the "blue gem" of Lijiang.
The crystal-clear turquoise water winds around the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, reflecting the white clouds and the highland sunlight – breathtakingly beautiful.
When I first arrived, the thin air made it a bit hard to breathe, and I had to stop a few times to take deep breaths. With every step, I could feel my heartbeat quicken, a sensation both strange and fascinating.
It wasn’t overly exhausting, but it was enough to make me realize that my body was truly "stepping into another world" – a place where everything feels fresher, purer, and so much more vast.
Sitting by the lake, watching the layers of blue water blend together, with the cold wind brushing against my face, I could only sit silently and take it all in. The scenery was so stunning that I didn’t even want to lift my camera, afraid that the moment would slip away.
A perfect first day – a bit breathless, a bit chilly, and filled with so much peace.
