Guanwang Temple and Blue Street in Guan Yu's hometown, Yuncheng

Yuncheng is the hometown of Guan Yu, famous for the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and is located about an hour and a half by high-speed train from Xi'an.
The famous Guandi Temple is in the suburbs, but in the city there is a Guanwang Temple and a street lined with magnificent statues of Guan Yu.
When you pass through the gate marked Blue Street, you will be greeted by a large statue of Guan Yu on horseback. Statues of famous scenes of Guan Yu's exploits from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms are lined up along the street. The food stalls may open in the evening. They were still setting up when I visited in the evening.
This region is famous for knife-cut noodles, and the reasonably priced knife-cut noodles I had at a restaurant were very delicious.
The Guanwang Temple is small in scale. I was able to pray quietly.
