Yuncheng Guanwang Temple is located on Hongqi West Street in Yanhu District, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. It is a historic temple built to commemorate Guan Yu, a famous general of the Shu Han state during the Three Kingdoms period.
Guan Yu is renowned for his loyalty and righteousness, and was later revered as the "God of War." Guanwang Temple has become an important place for promoting Guan Gong culture. The temple's architecture is simple and solemn, with the main hall housing a statue of Guan Yu. The temple's grandeur and the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient artisans are evident in the carved beams and painted rafters.
The temple also preserves a large number of stone tablets from the Ming and Qing dynasties, recording the life of Guan Yu and the history of the temple's renovations over the years, showcasing its rich cultural heritage.
