Yunfu: My Relaxing Retro Temple Street Getaway Near Shenzhen! ðŸŪðŸšķ‍♀ïļ

#summervacay
I've found a fantastic, lesser-known escape in Yunfu, perfect for a relaxing weekend or short break from Shenzhen! It feels like the ideal spot to unwind, with wide, laid-back streets that are just begging for a leisurely city walk.

My Evening City Walk Route:

My suggested circular route is great for an evening of eating and exploring: Dongjie (East Street) → Chenghuang Temple (City God Temple) → Miaojie (Temple Street) → Wenchang Bridge.

Dongjie (East Street): This is where the locals go for their wholesale shopping. I found a hidden gem here: Yangshan Beef Offal (é˜ģåąąį‰›æ‚), tucked away at a crossroads. It's a highly recommended specialist shop for beef offal, offering generous portions at incredibly affordable prices – I paid less than CNY 30 per person!

Chenghuang Temple (City God Temple): A must-visit for both culture and photos!

At the temple entrance, I could check out the current year's zodiac fortunes. I made sure to show my sincerity and pray – they say it works if your heart is truly in it!

Inside the temple, there are several great photo spots. The red walls and green tiles are particularly photogenic, and they look even better with the evening lights adding to the ambiance.

This felt like a charming and authentic way to experience Yunfu, offering good food, cultural insights, and plenty of photo opportunities without the usual crowds.
