Bat Trang pottery village in Vietnam

Bat Trang Village is a pottery town located about 40 minutes by car from Hanoi.
I recommend taking Grab, but it seems that it's difficult to catch a Grab on the way back, so I recommend chartering a Grab.
In the village, you can not only shop for pottery, but also visit the workshops.

We first went to the Bat Trang Ceramics Museum.
The museum is made up of seven buildings with one basement floor and five above ground floors, imitating the bricks of Bat Trang pottery, and is quite large.

It used to cost 30,000 VND, but now it's 50,000 VND. You can also see the special exhibition for an additional 90,000 VND, but honestly I don't think you need to see the special exhibition.

On the first floor, they sell a lot of pottery and you can see the works of artists.
There was also a zone where you could take commemorative photos wearing national costumes.

The second and third floors are also exhibition areas for works from the Bat Trang Ceramics Museum.

4th floor - rooftop
The 4th floor is an outdoor theater with a stage and a cafe & restaurant.
On the rooftop there was a garden and a teahouse where you could drink tea. The tea there was quite delicious.

The pottery on sale on the first floor was reasonably priced and looked good, so it might be a good place to go shopping.
