Not in Guizhou! The Yunhe Terraced Fields in Lishui, Zhejiang, are the true hidden paradise! On my first visit, I caught the sunrise over the sea of clouds, with layers of terraces wrapped in mist, distant mountains painted in blue-green hues—this secret Jiangnan gem lives up to its reputation.
A super relaxing 2-day, 1-night itinerary: take the Guanyun Cableway up to Qixingdun to overlook the entire terraced fields; visit Baiyin Valley to explore the 800-year-old Kenggen Stone Village and listen to the melodious Wujian Waterfall; enjoy atmospheric photos at the cloud-side café by the window. Staying at "Yunyi Courtyard" is the most worry-free option—walk to Jiuyu Yunhuan to watch the sunrise, and open your window to the sea of clouds.
Tips: After rain when the sky clears is the best time to see the sea of clouds; arrive at the viewing platform before 5 AM; bring mosquito repellent and an umbrella. In summer, there are also stargazing camping and stream tracing activities. Where do you go to cool off in summer? Let’s chat in the comments~
