During the Chinese New Year, people would go to the temple to worship and pray to the gods to bless everyone with peace and prosperity in the new year. Everyone probably thought the same thing, and the temple was crowded with people.

The crowds on the pancake street outside were just as great. We finally squeezed into the old pancake shop Rixingtang and bought some delicious pancakes. The whole point of Chinese New Year is to eat and drink and have a happy holiday.
