Beigang Chaotian Temple: A sacred place of worship for Mazu with a history of 300 years

When you enter Beigang, Yunlin, the most eye-catching landmark is the Beigang Chaotian Temple, which is magnificent and full of incense. This famous Mazu temple in Taiwan has gone through more than 300 years of wind and rain since its establishment in the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1694 AD). It is one of the most historical and representative Mazu temples in Taiwan's folk beliefs.

The main deity worshipped in Chaotian Temple is the Heavenly Mother Mazu. She has a kind and solemn face and outstanding inspiration.
