Inside Songzanlin Monastery, Golden Glow and Quiet Moments

Huge golden Buddha statues sit quietly in the main halls, surrounded by rows of butter lamps and soft chanting in the background.

The walls are covered with beautiful murals that tell old stories, and the ceilings are decorated with bright patterns and hanging cloth. It is not super crowded, so you can take your time walking around, soaking it all in. Monks sometimes pass by with calm smiles, and you can hear the gentle rhythm of prayers.
